Job Shadowing Activity: A first experience in the hotel industry
K. Wah Group’s mentors and participants of the “Strive and Rise Programme” together visited the InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong to learn about hotel operations and daily practices. During the event, students had a detailed view of the housekeeping operations and had the opportunity to try out the banquet arrangement work of the Banquet Services Team in which they worked in groups to complete the banquet table setting, experiencing the hotel’s daily operations. Staff representatives from various hotel departments were invited to chat with the students, sharing their work experiences and highlights, in hopes of helping young people interested in joining the hotel industry to explore related career development. K. Wah Group upholds the philanthropic spirit of giving back to society and actively supports community and youth development, by providing diversified learning opportunities for young people.
Job Shadowing Activity: Exploring property sales business
K. Wah Group has been actively supporting the “Strive and Rise Programme” for two consecutive years, arranging colleagues to serve as mentors to provide abundant learning opportnities for secondary student participants. The Group recently arranged a job shadowing activity for the students, and they visited the K. Wah Group headquarters accompanied by their mentors in a way to inspire them to explore new horizons for career development. The mentors shared their work experience, enabling the mentees to better understand their work and the scope of the Group’s various businesses. The students also visited show flats of the Group’s residential property and gained insights about the operation of the property sales business. K. Wah Group upholds the philanthropic spirit of giving back to society and actively supports community and youth development, by providing diversified learning opportunities for young people.
KWIH Mainland Management Trainee Greater Bay Area Projects Visit Tour
K. Wah International (KWIH) has always been committed to nurturing talent and caring about the growth of young people, encouraging them to fully utilise their strengths in the workplace and lay a solid foundation for their personal career development.
Recently, five management trainees from the Shanghai, Nanjing and Guangzhou regions participated in a two-and-a-half-day Greater Bay Area projects visit tour, visiting the group's properties and hotel projects in Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Dongguan, such as KT Marina, J Senses, and 2 Grampian Road in Hong Kong, Guangzhou Cosmo, Dongguan Bayview and Silver Cove, as well as the InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong and Stanford Residences Victoria Harbour, deeply experiencing the excellent capabilities of the K. Wah Group in the fields of property development and hospitality.
During the activity, KWIH Executive Director, Ms Paddy Lui, and a group of senior leaders held an exchange conversation with the trainees, where they had in-depth discussions on the group's development, individual work, and future plans. The management team also provided targeted guidance to the trainees. When affirming the achievements of the trainees, Ms Paddy Lui also encouraged them to continue to work hard and inject new vitality into the group's future development.
KWIH Supports the “Gift for Love” Charity Sales
K. Wah International (“KWIH”) adheres to the corporate spirit of "One K. Wah" and supports the "Gift for Love" charity sale organised by the Hong Kong Federation of Handicapped Youth. The event aims to assist underprivileged communities in society and promote the positive message of "Striving for PHAB (Physically Handicapped and Able-Bodied) Integration" to the public.
Visit to K. Wah International - Industry Benchmark Enterprise
The "Visit to K. Wah International - Industry Benchmark Enterprise" event aimed to promote the group's philosophy of "Impeccable Quality Superb Lifestyle," explore corporate management wisdom, and enhance the group's brand image. The event included visits to the UCCA Center for Contemporary Art in EDGE in Shanghai, and J Senses & H Senses at the Shanghai K. Wah Centre. After the visit, Linda Huang, the General Manager of Human Resources and Administration for KWIH's Shanghai region, discussed the impact of environmental, social, and corporate governance on the future of human resources with HR professionals from various industries. She also shared KWIH's practices in corporate governance, creating a sustainable development environment, and fulfilling corporate social responsibilities.
KWIH embraces the “Strive and Rise Programme” in support of youth development
In tandem with its principle of “rewarding the society”, KWIH has assigned encouraged the colleagues its staff to participate in the “Strive and Rise Programme” led by the Chief Secretary of the Hong Kong SAR Government in active response to the initiative, designed to help junior secondary students from underprivileged families unfetter the bonds of inherited poverty by broadening their horizons and setting goals for the future, thereby developing a positive outlook on life as they strive for upward mobility.

KWIH supports anti-pandemic efforts and communal development
KWIH has long been supporting the development of different communities in the spirit of giving back to the society.
KWIH held an "Anti-pandemic Donation and Business Partnership Label Ceremony" with the Shanghai Changning Huayang Sub-district Office in the company's sales office on Wuyi Road. Apart from donating funds to the sub-district office in support of their anti-pandemic efforts, KWIH also expressed its confidence in building a vibrant and innovative community on Wuyi Road with its new project - WYSH.
Through developing WYSH, an urban renewal project, KWIH is keen to establish a chic, artisitc and innovative commercial hub set to reshape the historical area of Wuyi Road, Shanghai. In the future, the company will continue to bring new possibilities to districts in Hong Kong and mainland China with its exquisite projects.
KWIH donates COVID-19 Test Kits and provides accommodation to TWGHs
KWIH donates Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) kits to Tung Wah Group of Hospitals ("TWGHs"") through the "KWIH Anti-Epidemic Fund" for frontline staff and service users including elderly and families in need, and provides accommodation for frontline healthcare workers and caretakers.
Dr Lui Che-woo, Chairman of KWIH, said, "We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to our healthcare professional and caretakers for their selfless devotion and contribution to safeguarding the wellbeing of Hong Kong people. We will at our best work with and support the pandemic prevention work of the Hong Kong SAR Government and the Central Government to contain the pandemic together."
KWIH has been supporting the anti-epidemic measures in Hong Kong and the Mainland since the outbreak of COVID-19, including the setup of surgical mask production cleanroom to stabilise the mask supply of social welfare sector. KWIH also provided vaccination subsidies to the underprivileged people for the pre-vaccination medical check-up last year.
KWIH supports Shanghai communities amidst the COVID-19 pandemic
Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in Shanghai in March 2022, local citizens and colleagues have faced drastic changes in their everyday lives. Apart from stepping up anti-pandemic measures in its properties, KWIH also upholds its belief to give back to the society, and helped communities by donating supplies to locals and sending care packages to colleagues. What's more, many KWIH employees have actively supported their communities as volunteers by helping with community tests, procuring and distributing supplies, retrieving medicine for the elderly, and taking care of their underprivileged neighbours. The philanthropic One K. Wah spirit is truly shining through the pandemic!
KWIH has long focused on areas including the Yangtze River Delta since entering the Mainland China property market, with Shanghai as the Group's key foothold in this region. The Group and its employees would like to spread positivity in the society with charitable initiatives and help Shanghai recover from the COVID-19 outbreak.
K. Wah Group donates nearly HK$15 million to support flood relief efforts in Henan
K. Wah International ("KWIH") announced a donation of HK$5 million to Henan Province, which was made under the coordination of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong SAR. The donation will be used to support the emergency response and relief efforts in Henan Province, thus enable compatriots who have been affected to resume their normal lives soon. Following a recent donation of MOP10 million by Galaxy Entertainment Group Foundation under Galaxy Entertainment Group, K. Wah Group has donated close to HK$15 million in total to support Henan's rescue efforts.
KWIH donates HK$1 million to TWGHs supporting Vaccination Subsidy Campaign
To encourage vaccination among Hong Kong citizens, K. Wah International ("KWIH") made a donation of HK$1 million to Tung Wah Group of Hospitals ("TWGHs") for the launch of "K. Wah Cares" Vaccination Subsidy Programme. The scheme has concluded successfully, providing eligible families in need with subsidies to cover pre-vaccination medical check-up fees and other related expenses when they have to take leave from work for vaccination. Looking ahead, the Group will continue to work hand in hand with the public in fighting the virus.
KWIH supports TWGHs to set up mask factory in Hong Kong
"K. Wah International (""KWIH"") announced a donation of HK$3.7 million to Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (""TWGHs"") through ""KWIH Anti-Epidemic Fund"", as a start-up fund for TWGHs to convert part of the workshop area within an integrated vocational rehabilitation centre into a surgical mask production factory.
The mask factory is expected to start trial production in June and obtain relevant certifications. Apart from supplying masks to service units of TWGHs including hospitals, elderly and disabled homes, rehabilitation centres and schools, other non-profit organisations are also welcome to order so as to relieve their burden. This project will offer job training opportunities to people with disabilities, and facilitate them to integrate into the society.
Dr Lui Che-woo, Chairman of KWIH, cares the society and encourages everyone to stay united in the spirit as a family and overcome challenges together by upholding the ""Lion Rock Spirit"" and spreading positive energy.
Since the initial stage of the outbreak, ""KWIH Anti-Epidemic Fund"" has been supporting the anti-epidemic work in both Mainland China and Hong Kong. Efforts included donations to support the prevention and control of the epidemic outbreak in Hong Kong, and provinces and cities in Mainland China like Guangdong Province and Shanghai; providing rent concessions to its tenants in Hong Kong and Mainland China. Besides strengthening the preventive measures at the Group's Hong Kong and Mainland China offices, KWIH staff also unites to donate epidemic prevention and protection supplies to support the underprivileged."
KWIH supports seniors to make homes safer
Dedicated to encourage positivity within the community, K. Wah International ("KWIH") worked with World Green Organisation to arrange free professional sanitisation services for more than 120 solitary elderly. KWIH volunteer team also showed their care through distributing epidemic preventive kits to the elderly. Most of the items were donated or handmade by our colleagues, including handmade hand sanitisers prepared under professional guidance. We hope our small action will give support to the elderly and make positive contribution to our community.
KWIH partners with TWGHs to donate 140,000 locally-produced masks
Supported by K. Wah International ("KWIH"), the Medical Mask Production Cleanroom under Tung Wah Group of Hospitals ("TWGHs") has commenced full operation in July, and is accredited to produce local masks at ASTM Level I, II & III. In light of the unpredictable pandemic situation, KWIH hopes the Cleanroom could help stabilise the mask supply for social welfare sector. Further to the setting up of the Cleanroom through the "KWIH Anti-epidemic Fund", Dr Lui Che-woo, Chairman of KWIH, joined hands with TWGHs again to purchase 140,000 surgical masks produced by the Cleanroom, and donated to medical and social welfare organisations inflicted by the third wave coronavirus pandemic. KWIH volunteer team also showed their support and visited the beneficiaries to donate medical masks and other essential supplies.
KWIH Shanghai paid visit to the Weifang Road Community
The region's elderly volunteers have been working tirelessly and enthusiastically for the public good and to bring sunshine and warmth to society. Meanwhile, KWIH Shanghai has been making special trips to the Weifang Road Community in Pudong New Area to visit them and send them charity gift bags to show respect and appreciation for their hard work.
In their interactions with the community employees and elderly volunteers, our colleagues have found out about how, in their selfless spirit of dedication, they have taken on a lot of work for community services in this crucial period of the pandemic in 2020. They have made great sacrifices to control the pandemic and make society stable and safe. These elderly volunteers with hearts full of kindness have acted in a spirit of elderly devotion, which is truly worth admiring and learning from.
KWIH management trainees gained 2nd runner-up at the Hong Kong Management Game
The KWIH management trainees gained 2nd runner-up at the Hong Kong Management Game held by the Hong Kong Management Association. In the competition, they simulated running a business, and in experiencing different business cycles, they made a series of closely linked policy decisions in areas such as financial, resource management, investment, and marketing. In several teams, they competed for the highest profit and market share. Every trainee said they received the full support of their department managers, who often shared their financial experience and strategies. The trainees gained a lot in the process, even though it was full of challenges.
KWIH Shanghai organised drama to the children and parents of the Shanghai Children's Medical Centre
Jointly organised by KWIH Shanghai, Shanghai Children's Foundation and Shanghai Children's Medical Centre, an interactive drama was presented to the children and parents of the Shanghai Children's Medical Centre. The drama aimed to light up the children's spirit and alleviate their anxiety and negative emotions, hoping that they can recover soon.
KWIH shows care to underprivileged single-mother families
Guangzhou Huicheng office of KWIH donated RMB100,000 to Guangzhou Huadu Charity Association to set up a three-year fund, with an aim to provide financial assistance and organise visits to needy single mothers in Huadu district. As a celebration of the Dragon Boat Festival, staff from Huicheng office visited 20 underprivileged single-mother families earlier, offered them sticky rice dumplings and other necessities to share support and care.
KWIH Shanghai, Nanjing and Suzhou participated in a "Care for Children" campaign
"KWIH has been devoted to supporting charity causes and giving back to society. Riding on the ""1 June Children's Day"", staff volunteers from KWIH Shanghai, Nanjing and Suzhou participated in a ""Care for Children"" campaign.
On 5 June, volunteers from KWIH Shanghai visited CereCare Wellness Centre for Children (""CereCare"") in Xuhui District to offer donation and necessities. Established in 2003, CereCare is a registered non-profit organisation which provides rehabilitation education and creates a warm environment for children with cerebral palsy. Marking the sixth consecutive year of visit, volunteers were happy to see that both physical and mental conditions of the children have been improving gradually under continuous care.
On 30 May, volunteers from KWIH Nanjing visited Amity Bakery, a social enterprise set up by The Amity Foundation to provide occupational training for the disabled. The volunteers showed their support through making and selling charity cookies.
On 15 May, volunteers from KWIH Suzhou paid a visit to a special education school at Hushuguan Town, Gaoxin District. The school is specialised in enhancing social adaptability of children with intellectual disabilities. Together with the teachers and caretakers, volunteers and children had a fun day creating artistic masks and playing interactive games together. "

KWIH supported the internship programmes organised by Hong Kong-Shanghai Youth Association and Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China
Supporting the internship programmes organised by Hong Kong-Shanghai Youth Association and Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China for the third and first time respectively, this year, K. Wah International Holdings ("KWIH") welcomed seven interns from the universities in Hong Kong and Shanghai to join our Shanghai office for six weeks. Apart from on-the-job training, interns visited our residential and commercial projects, and serviced apartments in Shanghai, Nanjing and Suzhou to understand the property market in Mainland China. They also enjoyed various staff activities which brought them closer together!
KWIH Shanghai Nanjing staff brings love and care to children
Upholding the belief that ""Giving back to the society from which one is benefitted"", K. Wah International (""KWIH"") is committed to supporting various charitable causes while fulfilling its corporate social responsibility. Riding on the ""1 June Children's Day"", the volunteers from KWIH Shanghai and KWIH Nanjing carried out a ""Caring for Children"" activity.
On 5 June, the volunteers from KWIH Shanghai paid a visit to ""CereCare Wellness Centre for Children"" (CereCare), which is a registered non-profit organization that aims to provide rehabilitation education to children with cerebral palsy, to bring love and care to them together with donation and daily necessities. This marked the fifth consecutive year that volunteers from Shanghai have visited CereCare. With the continuous love and care, both mental and physical conditions of the children have gradually improved. During the visit, volunteers of KWIH Shanghai greeted the children and joined the rehabilitation course. Afterwards, the children used their sincere voice to perform a song for the volunteers and the volunteers also cheered the children by singing an inspirational song and sending festive blessings.
On 30 May, volunteers from KWIH Nanjing paid a visit to Nanjing Guxiong Primary School, showing love and care to the underprivileged students. Founded in 2001, Nanjing Guxiong Primary School is formerly known as Nanjing Oasis Machine Factory Workers' Children School. Volunteers learnt about the school life of students from the school's representative, and distributed festive gifts along with their blessing to the students. Volunteers also shared a book named ""Three Days to See"" with the students who have expressed strong interest and proactively participated in the activity. Later, students showed their learning results by performing a unique ethnic music to the volunteers. Both the students and volunteers of KWIH Nanjing spent a wonderful and meaningful time together.
KWIH joined hands with St. James' Settlement to host the "Pizza Master Chef & Movie Appreciation"
KWIH joined hands with St. James' Settlement to host the "Pizza Master Chef & Movie Appreciation". KWIH staff volunteers participated in a pizza-making workshop with 21 children benefited from the support of St. James' Settlement, to make their own flavour of pizza and visit the kitchen in Pizza Hut. Beneficiaries were also accompanied by our volunteers to enjoy the new movie. The group had a great weekend eating lots of delicious pizza and watching movie together!
KWIH sponsored Cornell International Real Estate Case Competition
To celebrate the 10th Cornell International Real Estate Case Competition (CIRECC), Cornell University co-hosted the first Annual Cornell CUHK Regional Real Estate Competition, Asia with the School of Hotel and Tourism Management, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). The contest was sponsored exclusively by KWIH. Eight undergraduate teams from schools in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Korea, Taiwan and Indonesia had four days to analyse an actual transaction and present their analysis and recommendations to a panel of international real estate executives. The winners are CUHK team (Champion), HKU team (1st runner-up), and PolyU team (2nd runner-up), who had participated in the finals in New York in November. The CIRECC provides students an opportunity to put their knowledge into first-hand practice through the real-world challenging real estate cases, which facilitate them having competitive edge when joining the workplace after graduation.
KWIH and St. James' Settlement jointly organized the "Blue House Tour & Orange Peel Candies Workshop"
K. Wah International and St. James' Settlement jointly organized the meaningful activity "Blue House Tour & Orange Peel Candies Workshop" on 18 February 2017. Volunteers brought over 20 primary school students to visit historic sites in Wan Chai like the Blue House, Pak Tai Temple and Wan Chai Wet Market to learn about its history and stories. Then they attended the Orange Peel Candies Workshop to learn making delicious snacks with orange peels, followed by a green lunch to the experience the green life.
KWIH and HKU launch the Industry X Academic Exchange Programme to nurture future real estate industry leaders
KWIH becomes the first partner of the University of Hong Kong's Department of Real Estate and Construction to launch Industry X Academic Exchange Programme. To inaugurate the programme, KWIH presented the model of TWIN PEAKS, a landmark residential development in Tseung Kwan O South, to the university as the first case study for students to analyse the factors in terms of geographic environment, sustainability, corporate social responsibilities and marketing.
KWIH and St. James' Settlement jointly organized a "Birthday Party for the Elderly"
K. Wah International ("KWIH") and St. James' Settlement jointly organized a "Birthday Party for the Elderly" to celebrate the birthday of the elders whose birthday is in November and December at the St. James' Settlement headquarters, Wan Chai. KWIH staff and associates played games, sang birthday song and shared lunch with the elders and enjoyed a pleasant weekend together.
KWIH volunteer group visited children living in the countryside
A volunteer group formed by the KWIH Staff of Huicheng and Guangyu travelled from Guangzhou to Woshui Town, Liannan County, Qingyuan City over a 4-hour trip to visit children living in the countryside. They paid a visit to a primary school in the mountain area with only 8 teachers and 61 students. In addition to giving out supplies such as school bags, sportswear and shoes, they also spent time with the children in fun games. Volunteers were followed by visits to the homes of underprivileged students after long walks via rugged hilly roads. Blankets, desk lamps and food were given out to these families, complemented by words of encouragement in casual chats with the kids.

Volunteers from KWIH paid a visit to Golden Bridge Home of the Elderly in Guangzhou
Volunteers from KWIH Huicheng Staff Club and Po Ai Social Work Service paid a visit to Golden Bridge Home of the Elderly in Guangzhou on 23 April 2016. The volunteers taught senior residents the healthy "five-finger exercise" and chatted with them caringly. The place was filled with excitement. By spreading love and happiness to the elderly, the volunteers realized how blessed they were by giving than receiving.
KWIH established K. Wah Education Fund to provide an ideal learning environment
Upholding the belief that ""giving back to the society from which one is benefitted"", KWIH contributed RMB 100 million to establish Jia Hui Cheng School in Huadu District, Guangzhou, China. On 27 October 2016, more than 300 guests, teachers and students attended the Jia Hui Cheng School Handover cum the Establishment of K. Wah Education Fund Ceremony to witness and celebrate the historical moment together. During the ceremony, KWIH also announced the establishment of K. Wah Education Fund amounting to RMB 1 million.
Ms Paddy Lui, Executive Director of KWIH, said, ""J Metropolis is our new large-scale key project settled in Huadu District. As a property with superb living environment and easy access to ancillary thorough facilities, J Metropolis today is even developed with rich educational resources. Committed to delivering premium properties and building comprehensive infrastructure development in J Metropolis, we also hope Jia Hui Cheng School could provide an ideal learning environment for parents and their children in Huadu District. KWIH raises funds for the education of left-behind children in Mainland China
KWIH staff joined the first SHKA Charity Walk for a Million co-organized by the Shanghai Charity Foundation and the Shanghai Hong Kong Association Limited on 19 November 2016. The event aimed at raising funds for Project VolunONLINE, which supports the learning of left-behind children living in remote areas in Mainland China through online classes. Committed to giving back to society by supporting charitable causes, through this event, KWIH hopes to spread its staff's love and care to society, and promote positive energy and a positive attitude towards life.
KWIH staff visited Jilin Primary School in 2016
KWIH staff visited Jilin Primary School on 2 July 2016 to express care for the left-behind children. It took K. Wah volunteers a four-hour drive from Guangzhou to reach the school, which is situated in Jilin Village, Yunan County, Yunfo City in Guangdong. Upon arrival, K. Wah volunteers were divided into groups to host different class activities based on students' level, including fun games, a handcraft workshop and a science book reading. Through these fun activities, the students not only acquired new knowledge, but also felt the love and care to them. Knowing that the school facilities were inadequate, K. Wah volunteers brought some sports items to the school.
Volunteers from KWIH Social Club visited solitary elderly during Chung Yeung Festival
Volunteers from KWIH Social Club visited solitary elderly in Hunan Road, Xuhui District, Shanghai on 28 September 2016 during Chung Yeung Festival. The activity was supported by the sub-district and its community committees. Social Club prepared sweaters, scarves and healthy food for seven senior citizens and visited the homes of two elderly who suffer from immobility. To uphold the idea of being enthusiastic in public welfare, staff from Nanjing paid a visit to the elderly centre in Qixia District on the next day. Through these initiatives, KWIH spread love and care to the elderly, fulfilled the company's corporate social responsibilities and upheld the corporate culture of giving back to the society.
KWIH volunteers in Huicheng and Dongguan prepared meals and soup for solitary elderly
During an elderly visit on 21 March 2015, KWIH volunteers in Huicheng and Dongguan prepared meals and soup for solitary elderly so as to express love and care to them. In May, KWIH Shanghai initiated International Children's Day charity campaign in which colleagues donated idle goods and made sachets and potted plants for a charity sale. Donation collected was sent to help underprivileged children during their visit to a charitable organization.
KWIH volunteered in the "Spreading Care in Mid-Autumn Festival"
About 20 volunteers comprising K. Wah staff and their friends and relatives brought festive gift packs to senior citizens in Lai Tak Chuen Estate in the "Spreading Care in Mid-Autumn Festival" jointly organized by KWIH and St. James' Settlement on 19 September 2015.

Huicheng and Guangyu Staff Club volunteers visited Woshuizhen Primary School
On 28 November 2015, Huicheng and Guangyu Staff Club volunteers from K. Wah Group's Guangzhou property project visited Woshuizhen Primary School located in Qingyuan city's
mountainous countryside Liannan. They presented the students with gifts and stationeries and encouraged them to keep studying hard for a better future.

KWIH collaborated with St. James' Settlement on Mother's Day eve in 2014 to celebrate the special occasion with families in Sham Shui Po District. KWIH staff members made greeting cards with children for their beloved mothers, while parents created photo frames to keep memories of their sweet family time. The volunteers also brought carnations to the mothers and gift packs to the children. All participants then went on a guided bus tour on Hong Kong Island, filling the day with happy memories.
KWIH Shanghai hosted a series of charitable events to pass on their love to children living in remote villages and those with cerebral palsy
When the International Children's Day was around the corner, KWIH Shanghai hosted a series of charitable events, including visits, donation and fundraising, to pass on their love to children living in remote villages and those with cerebral palsy. In mid May 2014, stationery, books and educational kits collected from colleagues were sent to schools in remote mountainous regions in Yunnan. Unwanted items were donated for auction, raising a total of RMB24,000 for the CereCare Wellness Center for Children. The volunteers also paid a visit to the Centre and helped the children with therapy training on 30 May 2014.
KWIH initiated the Home Appliances Recycling Campaign
In June 2014, KWIH initiated the Home Appliances Recycling Campaign for collecting unwanted or worn-out equipment. With the assistance of St. James' Settlement, old electronic appliances were repaired and donated to families in need, while non-repairable items were dissembled into components for re-use or recycling. The meaningful activity was widely supported by the staff for it was beneficial to both the community and the environment.

On 26 October 2014, KWIH participated in the 40th Sedan Chair Race & Bazaar at the Peak to raise funds for charities and made a difference to the Hong Kong community. Led by Paddy Lui, Executive Director of KWIH, over 30 staff and their families from the Hong Kong and Guangzhou offices came along and cheered for the participating team. KWIH's team members also showcased their creativity through decorating the sedan chair with reference to the exterior of the iconic K. Wah Centre. Embodying the elements of "home" in their costume designs, the team echoed KWIH's reputation as a quality developer that strives to create a comfortable living environment for their customers through developing exquisite and niche properties.

KWIH supports the "Waste No Food" campaign in 2013
KWIH supports the "Waste No Food" campaign - Leftover Collection Action organized by Friends of the Earth (Hong Kong) on 6 October 2013, encouraging the staff to bring back unwanted or surplus packaged food and making a matching monetary donation to the campaign. All items collected were then delivered to food banks and donated to the elderly and low-income households, further promoting the message of cherishing food and making it an everyday habit.

KWIH joined the New Territories Walk for Millions 2012 in support of the fund raising event of a long tradition. To show the collective effort and commitment towards community care, KWIH sponsored HK$200 for each participant made up of staff and their associates. The funds raised will be donated to 22 member agencies providing family and child welfare services under The Community Chest to strengthen family bonding and mutual care so as to foster social harmony. On the other hand, KWIH spreads love to the elderly by joining hand with St. James' Settlement to organize a cupcake class for staff to DIY cupcakes and deliver their tender care to the single elderly.

K. Wah Social Club formed teams in the Community Chest New Territories Walk for Millions in 2011
With its members' relatives and friends, K. Wah Social Club gained sponsorship from the company to be among the walk teams in the Community Chest New Territories Walk for Millions in February 2011. Along the 5.5 km route, the party took the first step from Pak Shek Kok Promenade to Tai Po Waterfront Park. The raised funds will be designated to support 27 social welfare agencies in providing children and youth services.
KWIH called for toys donation among its staff in 2011
Echoing YMCA of Hong Kong's idea for toys recycling, KWIH called for toys donation among its staff from February to March in 2011. KWIH's volunteers cleaned and delivered the donation to the toy bank accounts holders, who are mainly underprivileged children, to redeem toys if they complete a stage of their personal growth plan, for example to volunteer for community service. This environmentally friendly initiative truly manifests the essence of "sharing is blessing".

A walking team of 4 members from K. Wah Social Club joined MTR Race Walking in April 2011. They started their 4x100m relay on Chater Road, Central, to demonstrate the health benefits of walking. The fund raised will be sent to Hospital Authority Health InfoWorld to support its work on disease prevention and health education.
